What is FitBloggin’ to you?

FitBloggin’ is where I go recharge myself every year! It’s where I go to share and learn about experiences many of us might face on the road to regaining our health and happiness.

Has the FitBloggin’ community impacted your own life?

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! When I walked into FitBloggin’ for the first time in 2011 I was a completely different person. I had very low self-confidence and really didn’t believe in myself when it came to my personal and professional goals. I have met so many amazing people through the conference and many of them have supported and mentored me to get to where I am today and I LOVE where I am today.

Have you had a weight loss success story?

My story is still being told every day when it comes to my weight loss… I will share it when the time comes.

How has blogging changed and how is the FitBloggin’ community influencing that?

I think blogging has definitely changed over the last five years. I might speak for myself when saying this, but in today’s fast-paced world I find it hard to find time to sit down and visit blog sites and read various posts by all of my favorite people. Sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat have taken over where it’s easy to post and share little snippets of your life while on the go. I personally have become more of a micro-blogger.

Has the social media community changed wellness/fitness for the better or worse, and how?

Tough question…. I think everyone has a say in what they expose themselves to when it comes to the wellness/fitness space. There are a lot of great things that social media helps bring awareness to, but there are also a lot of negative things that it does the same for. The nice thing about social media is that you can unsubscribe/follow as you wish. I personally try to keep my feeds clean with content that I value and appreciate, anything else I just remove.

What is your best tip for blogging/social media success?

BE YOU AND NOBODY ELSE! Stay true to yourself and don’t get caught up in the things that don’t matter in this world.

What’s your fitness sweet spot?

I am a weight lifter, yogi, Zumba dancer, runner, walker, bike rider, triathlete….. I am basically Superman if you haven’t heard.

What’s your personal fun fact?

I LOVE OREOS! There! I said it!!

What keeps you coming back to FitBloggin’?

THE PEOPLE! They just get it…
