Speaker applications are now open for FitBloggin’16 and will remain open until September 30, 2015 at midnight ET. We are ready to hear from you to create an exceptional schedule and content selections for next year. If you’re an expert, have a story that needs to be told, and can impart some necessary wisdom upon our community, then we want to hear from you!
CONTENT TRACKS
There will be four main content tracks this year. This will allow attendees to focus on key areas of interest and get the most out of their time at FitBloggin’.
SESSION TYPES
There will be a few different types of sessions. Again, this will ensure that each content type is presented and received in the best possible format.
- Break-Out Session: Audience size will be about one-fourth of attendees to host larger presentations and panels.
- Small Group Discussions: Audience size will be less than 40 people to encourage roundtable/group discussions.
- Fitness Class: Audience size will vary as experts lead our attendees through exciting workouts and fitness demonstrations.

TOPIC INSPIRATION
Here’s a not-so-short list of topics specifically requested by our community in the 2015 post-conference survey. Keep your audience in mind as you make your speaker application and consider presenting on one of these (or similar) topics.

- Mental Health: Eating disorders and recovery
- Nutrition: Overall healthy eating, creating meal plans, how to shop
- Nutrition: Specific for runners or other athlete types
- Nutrition: How to make a nutrition plan
- Nutrition: How to eat for weight loss
- Diet specific: Paleo, Gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, etc.
- Technical: Photography
- Technical: SEO, analytics, FB Advertising, code
- How to: be a better writer
- How to: tell my story
- How to: pitch brands and the media
- How to: start my weight loss journey
- How to: start a workout regimen
- Athlete specific: runners, triathletes, yogis, strength training
- Showcasing / demonstrating new or different workouts
SCHEDULE
- Open call for speakers: 9/1/15 – 9/30/15. We will accept your proposals and suggestions until September 30, 2015 at midnight est.
- Session review: October. We will open this up for voting to the FitBloggin’ alumni and 2016 registered attendees.
- Speaker Announcements: November. Be sure to use a current, working email address so we can contact the selected speakers.
OTHER ITEMS TO NOTE
- This does not include applications for the Ignite Fitness keynote presentation. More news on that at another time.
- Unfortunately, due to the number of applications we will receive, we will not be able to reply to everyone.
- Speakers receive a full-access pass to the conference. All other expenses (including travel and hotel) are the responsibility of the speaker. Please do not apply if you will be unable to attend for financial reasons. It’s not fair to other applicants.
