Back by popular demand, Zumba Dance Fest (the Fitbloggin’ way) was back once again!
Over a hundred folks gathered to shake, shimmy and drop it like’s it hot.
Nellie from Brooklyn Active Mama and her Zumba crew wasted no time in getting our large group started, leading us through dance moves guaranteed to make all of us sweat.
We started with a warm-up……Noone was immune.
And quickly moved on to *I Like Big Butts* by Sir Mix-a-Lot and *Bootylicious* by Beyonce.
The tunes were out of this world, with several songs featuring Pitbull as well as others, we glistened…..we sweated, we shook what our mamas gave us. There was salsa, cumbia, tropical flair, hip hop, top 40, old school and new school.
There was booty shaking, jumping jacks, salsa steps, squats, turns, arms up in the air, arms down on the ground, hips moving this way and that way and more. My absolute favorite was when we formed two lines and danced down the middle of the room, like this.
We smiled, we laughed, and we tried our best to keep up with the dance steps. There was lots of clapping.
The workout brought out the sweat in ALL of us.
One hour later and we were done. It was a dance-fest of Fitbloggin proportions!
