We read blogs.
We follow people on Twitter.
We like pages on Facebook.
We check into venues on Foursquare.
We add people as connections on LinkedIn.
…but what happens when you take an online relationship offline and you shake
hands for the first time?
Join us at the “Taking Your Online Community Offline” session where the potential
of making relationships outside of social media will be discussed. Learn ways to
reach your personal and professional goals by taking that chance and being social in
person.
This session will be lead by Alicia Hansen from Poise in Parma. In addition
to managing her own freelance event planning business, Alicia serves as the
Cleveland Chapter President of the Ohio Blogging Association. The OBA’s Cleveland
membership has met monthly since January 2010 embracing the synergies that
happen when bloggers & blog supporters step away from the keyboard and into real
life.
Relations outside the 'social' media are way more important, and we should embrace them with open heart, and give them ample consideration that they deserve!
