Fit for FitBloggin’ Guidelines

Jen and Mandy are back! Even though I’m late. Sorry guys!

Jen says:

Another week closer to fitbloggin we are.
Excited and happy and anticipating am I.

Mandy Says:

Okay Yoda…

Hello all you fit for fitbloggers! It’s check in time! How did your week go? We want to hear all about it! But first…

Jen Says:

Mandy tells me we have to get some of the boring details out of the way…ya know, I think she makes this stuff up to keep me in line!

Mandy says:

Um, yeah. I do. Cause you need guidelines. I’m just sayin…

Jen says:

ok get on with it…tell us the rules, mom (totally two-syllables) ….

Mandy says:

Okay, here it is:

  1. Pretty please, encourage each other! We want to blow these comments up! Cheer each other on, give advice, or commiserate – get to know each other. Share your blogs and twitter names as well, so we can get all stalker-like on you as well. Now, Jen and I would love to comment to each of you, but to keep things from getting 5 kinds of crazy, we’ll take turns instead. One week, Jen will be the commenty cheerleader, the next I will. You all don’t have to reply to everyone, of course, but since we are the captains of crazy, we are taking it on. Cause that’s how we roll.
  2. Since you are going to be sharing with us, we want to take it a step further and highlight a couple of you each week. Just a bit of a shout out, to give you props and encourage others to come check you out and cheer you on as well. Look for names to be added to the next post!

Okay, I feel better now. On with the updating!

Jen says:

I like challenges. I tend to go overboard and sign up for challenges and there have been times when I was in 3 to 4 different challenges….can you say crazy?!?!
This week, I did something very un-Jenlike! I weighed my options and decided against joining a challenge that I sooo wanted to join. I told you, I am a challenge junkie….
Right now I have a bigger challenge…October 17th I WILL complete my first half marathon. I WILL!! This week, I finally finally am preparing and training the way I should have been the whole time. I have found my groove or something like that and I intend to stick with it! I know my body feels better when I workout regularly. I know my whole mental mush feels better when I workout regularly.
I hate that it took me this long to figure this out but I LOVE that I did. I sort of had a breakthrough in the past 7 days and I am learning more every day. I am finding my way…stay tune ‘cause it could get bumpy!

So, I ran/walked on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday. Saturday was with my new friend and Monday was with my daughter. Not only am I getting it but I am dragging my loverlies along with me.

Hey Mandy, how was your week?!?

Mandy Says:

My week was great! I stuck to my goal – I walked, I yoga-ed, and I weight trained. Being that I took an extended (summer long) vacation from serious healthy habits, it felt hard, but great to do the workouts. I’ve already decided that I have to include these 3 things every week, and my incredible mom is going to join me in walking every week. (See, I’m making everyone I know come with me on this fit for fitbloggin ride.) My goal for the coming week is to add more workouts, and to start bringing in healthy eating as well. I’m not sure how I will do that, but I’m pretty sure it won’t involve oreo’s. Anymore.

Oh, also, I hope to not go completely crazy in my eating this week, as it is almost my birthday! I tend to celebrate my birthday for a good week or two – or at least use it as my excuse to eat junk. Not this week! Well, at least not very much. (Okay, see, this is why I need this gig…)

Now, tell us how you did and what your goals for next week are! Ready…go!

I love challenges but over commit myself for my schedule and then feel bad. Instead my one solid commitment is to make it to the starting line of my Turkey Trot. I want to run but I'll be there even if I have to walk.

Your 10K looked like amazing fun! I am sure it was intense but it looked amazing! Nothing like that in Jersey!

I can't wait to run with ya in Baltimore!

    Much Love!

Today, I signed up for a 10k, which will help with my distance for the bigger goal of the Olympic Triathlon. It'll be my first 10k so I'm freaking out a bit, but it's all good. I'm going do it my way.
