Roni Noone - Founder - @RoniNoone
Roni Noone created FitBloggin’ to bring together new and seasoned health and wellness, fitness and weight-loss bloggers and others interested in social media for knowledge, personal growth and networking.
She used her blog, Roni’s Weigh, to shed 70 pounds, start a running habit, get over a fear of weight training, complete her first marathon and run seven Tough Mudders, yes, seven. In 2011, she published her first cookbook based on recipes shared on the popular GreenLiteBites and in April 2015 published What You Can When You Can: Healthy Living On Your Terms. Recognizing the power of blogging, she also started a supportive online community called BlogToLose where more than 6,000 users are blogging to reach their own weight-loss goals.
Roni has represented and consulted for a wide variety of clients in the health and fitness industry including: The Laughing Cow, Liberty Mutual, HumanaVitality, Weight Watchers, Kraft, Vitalicious, Subway, Johns Hopkins University, Quaker, Nutrilite, and Pom. She has also been featured in many media outlets including CNN, the Today show, Inside Edition, Ladies Home Journal, Everyday Health, Women’s World, Woman’s Day, and Wired.
Roni is doing one of three things at this very moment: Blogging, cooking or traveling.
Allan Wright - Owner/President - @zephyradventure
In spring of 2015, founder Roni Noone contacted Allan Wright of Zephyr Conferences and Zephyr Adventures to ask him to take over organization of FitBloggin’, which had grown to become more work than originally planned. Allan is Zephyr’s owner and president and has been running adventure vacations since 1997 when Zephyr started as the world’s first inline skating tour company. Zephyr now runs active tours around the world; has a sister company called Taste Vacations that organizes wine, beer, food, and spirits tours; and is a veteran conference organizer with six conferences per year – five of them for blogging and social media.
Allan is a native of Seattle, lives in Boulder, Colorado, and has lived in ten cities in four countries on three continents during his many traveling years. He is highly involved in the fitness, food, and drink communities through Zephyr’s tours and conferences. He stays active daily via hiking, biking, running, and soccer. Allan also founded and runs his own multi-contributor blog called Eat Drink Boulder.
When asked about his life dreams, Allan will tell you, “To have a significant impact on other people and the world and to have fun doing it.” Allan is a bit of an idealist.
Reno Walsh - Sponsorship Coordinator - @zephyradventure
Reno Walsh lives and works in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in beautiful Bozeman, Montana. He has many years of experience in the adventure travel business and still guides one or two awesome tours per season for Zephyr Adventures. However, his primary role now is to develop and maintain key partnerships for Zephyr’s Conferences.
Reno spends his free time with family and friends in the outdoors with his fly rod, raft, canoe, snowboard, mountain bike or trail shoes. When he’s not on the go, you’ll find him with a glass of local craft beer or whatever bottle of wine that is open at that time, working in the garden until the sun sets and then sitting in front of the stereo listening to old warpy vinyl.
April Izer - Conference Operations Manager - @zephyr_con
After 16 years at the National Institutes of Health researching nutrition and its effects on aging and finding herself up against that proverbial “glass ceiling”, April ventured out to immerse herself into further study of business and the health and fitness world…working as the Director of Business Development for a small production company to learn the ins and outs of business, marketing and networking. She became re-certified as a personal trainer, obtained her Health Coaching and Running Coach Certifications, and eventually developed a wellness company specializing in simplifying a confusing industry for people through individual and group exercise and nutrition consults as well as workplace wellness programs.
April has been involved with Fitbloggin since 2011 and is thrilled to now be working in the capacity of Conference Operations Manager. She is an East Coast girl with a West Coast heart currently living in Frederick, MD with her husband and their big brown “baby elephant” dog Cooper. In addition to her family and the sunshine of San Diego, there is also room in April’s heart for running, yoga, golf, Girls on the Run and enjoying good food and wine with great friends.
Robyn Scott - Conferences Communications and Sales - @zephyr_con
Colorado native, Robyn Scott began her love for all things digital and marketing in a grassroots company which grew to become a large marketing firm. After spending 7 years as a senior strategic account manager, Robyn transitioned to Operations Management where she found reward in working on business development, sales and building relationships with people to grow their strengths. Since joining Zephyr in October 2015, Robyn has loved working with an awesome group of colleges and conference alumni.
Robyn spends most of her time (when not at her desk of course) outdoors and is dedicated to a healthy lifestyle. She loves trail running, yoga, cross fit and is an avid skier…additionally she enjoys just about any fitness challenge you can throw at her! Living with her husband and 8yr old son, Robyn is grateful for the “work from home” lifestyle so she can be with her family (also a very very needy German Shepard/Malinois puppy) and still have a rewarding job that includes the opportunity to meet amazing people.
