Paolo is not above lying to the clerk at Popeye’s, saying that the 24 piece chicken strip meal he’s buying is for his family when what he really intends is to construct chicken strip-biscuit-french fry-mashed potato sandwiches while watching Star Trek: The Next Generation in the dark. Between kettlebells, strippers with hearts of gold, and weighing food, I Get Wet is about being a fatass, not being a fatass, and being a fatass again.

Foodie McBody was an overweight, rice-loving couch potato when she got the wakeup call that threatened diabetes. Follow her roller coaster ride in “FoodFoodBodyBody”, from the doctor’s office to Weight Watchers and the world of Couch-to-5k and secret blogging. Can she have her cake and have her health too?

Susan and Palo will be performing Friday night at 8PM in Salon A and/or B, we are still working on some details!

• How to build real life events to create a community that can transition seamlessly from offline to online and back.
• How to spread the love by pushing out content from other bloggers in the community.
• It’s more than just getting free product. We’ll talk about how to leverage brands to grow your blog, even if you are not offered money for a brand relationship.
• How to define and protect your brand so that you work with the right advertisers.
• The importance of celebrating the progress of people in your community and creating challenges so that everybody wins.

Part of the “Design 101″ session will include a design critique of blogs written by participants brave enough to submit their sites for public review. As part of her session, web designer Jennette Fulda from Make My Blog Pretty will point out areas for improvement in your design and highlight the things you’re doing right. She promises not to make you cry. If you’re interested in potentially having your site reviewed, leave a comment below with your blog address.
