… to our fabulous list of FitBloggin’10 sponsors!
Go on… admit it. You’ve seen bloggers mentioned on the news or in the paper and wondered… How’d they do that? How’d they get traditional media to pay attention to them?
Well here’s your chance to ask a panel of experts about Getting Noticed!
What do reporters/editors look for when they are trying to find story ideas? How is it different for TV than for print? How can do you stand out? Where do you send your pitch?
These questions and more will be discussed on the panel, Getting Noticed: How to Pitch to Traditional Media, with panelists:
FitBloggin’ is more then happy to announce the official FitBloggin’10 shirt will be a custom printed Thriv performance Tee! YAY!
Thriv shirts aren’t your typical athletic wear. They are composed of bamboo for performance and luxury, organic cotton for additional sustainability, and elastane for stretch and support.
I received my sample the other day and fell in love. It’s soft, comfy and cut nicely. No too tight like so many althetic shirts are. MizFit, one of our resident FitBloggers, recently posted a review, click here to check it out!
From seeking help on the Weight Watcher message boards to asking for running support on twitter, social media has played a HUGE role in helping me achieve my fitness goals. That’s why it was important to me to arrange a panel of experts about this specific topic.
How can social media be used to help people reach goal? What role does the individuals blogs serve? How much can we achieve through an Online Community?
These questions and more will be discussed during the Using Social Media to Reach Goals: The Power of an Online Community panel discussion.
Panelist include:

FitBloggin’ is so excited to welcome Gruve as a sponsor. The Gruve™ is a personalized, wearable device that precisely tracks your daily calorie burn whether you are walking, playing with the kids or taking the stairs.
Reach your Gruve generated activity goal for the day and the Halo light bar will glow green when pressed. Sit for too long and Gruve will remind you to move with a friendly “buzz”.
FitBloggin attendees who want to try the Gruve throughout the conference simply need to click here and fill out the survey to get a Gruve specifically configured for them!

With all the planning and organizing going on these last few weeks (OMG we are down to weeks!) one thing got us real excited here in the FitBloggin’ camp. The official FitBloggin’ sticker has arrived.
Ok, ok, so only Roni was really the only one that excited but seriously… how cool is THAT?!
Note: As you can tell from my other stickers I’m a runner who loves WordPress and Firefox.
Donna from Family Fitness Files has come up with an AWESOME idea! Let me quote her. . .
“Hey, just because I can’t be there doesn’t mean that I can’t do a 5K.” So that’s what I’m going to do. And all of you fellow non-attendees are invited to join me.
On March 20, I will be hopping on my treadmill and doing 3.1 miles. I don’t care so much about the time, although I’d like to finish in less than an hour. 50 minutes, to be exact.
So who’s with me? Shall we have our own 5K on March 20, even if we can’t make it to FitBloggin?
Click here to check out her post and report your 5K times to her and get in on the action remotely.
THIS is what FitBloggin’ is all about.
