Join us Saturday during the conference for the candid panel discussion Finding the Medium Between XS and XL: Exploring the Controversy Between Fat and Skinny Shaming led by Jackelyn Ho with panelists Carla Birnberg, Kia M. Ruiz, Sarah Bramblette and Martha Koeske.
With both “skinny” and “curvy” fitspiration so prominent in people’s lives, how do we handle the array of comments that flood in from both sides? If we all know that we’re born to look a certain way, then why are we so mean to ourselves and other people about the way they look?
In this session, we want you to come ready with a bag full of honesty and a heart full of openness. Let’s talk about the whole fat- and skinny-shaming phenomenon and how we, as influential figures in the fitness sphere, can move the rest of the world to a more positive conversation.
It’s possible, it surely is, but we need you to be the strong and fierce front line.
It starts here.
