The Body Image and Blogging session will focus on body image and how you express your feelings about yourself on your blog.
Our children are the bloggers of the next generation.
Heather Blessington will lead this discussion joined by Marsha Hudnall, Melissa “Lissa” Henriquez, Carla Birnberg and a panel of health and body image bloggers sure to set off a lively discussion! She is the founder of the collective body image blog WeAreTheRealDeal.com and mamavision.com, a blog dedicated to being a voice of reason for those with eating disorders.

Janel Ovrut MS, RD, LDN is a registered dietitian with a master’s degree from the Nutrition Communication program at Tufts University in Boston, and a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Syracuse University. Janel currently works in corporate wellness where she develops wellness programs for large companies, provides nutrition counseling for employees, and gives nutrition presentations relevant to a working professional’s busy life. In addition, she also offers personal and practical nutrition advice for individuals and families.
Janel believes that healthy eating starts when nutritious food is brought into the home, and promotes no-nonsense grocery shopping and cooking so that eating is both healthy and enjoyable. She has experience in maternal and family nutrition, weight loss, meal planning and preparation, food allergies and vegetarian/vegan nutrition.
Janel has spoken at events such as the Healthy Living Summit and the POM Wonderful Blogger Harvest Tour. She writes articles about healthy eating and the benefits of pomegranates for POMwonderful.com, and contributes to the HealthyEats.com blog with The Veggie Table posts. In addition, she writes about family nutrition for SuperKidsNutrition.com, and keeps her own food and nutrition blog at EatWellWithJanelBlog.com.
