The 2016 FitBloggin & FitSocial Conference is an environment that hosts fitness and health writers and those sharing their fitness journey through blogging and social media with the world. The event brings out men and women from all walks of life who join together to explore new blogging strategies, tactics and of course, new fitness inspirations. This year, Life Time Fitness joined FitBloggin & FitSocial as a premier sponsor and they did not disappoint.
Life Time Fitness has a very straightforward focus that goes perfectly in-line with that of the conference; Build an environment where everyone belongs, support all types of athletes and give them a facility that will knock their socks off.
This year, Life Time Fitness hosted a pre-conference excursion to their location just outside of Indy. Attendees were shuttled VIP style about 20 mins from the hotel to the Life Time destination and were greeted by an amazing team for a half day experience. To start things off, bloggers were given an in-depth tour of the facility. Right away, the open concept floor plan was welcoming. Members are greeted with a super friendly staff, towels and plenty of water stations. On the large (very large) cardio and fitness floor every piece of equipment you could imagine is provided in multiples to allow everyone to get their workout on. Ellipticals, bikes, weight machines…pretty much EVERYTHING was laid out and available. No lines, no crowding. Just a welcoming environment with no intimidating features. Most outstanding is that Life Time combines all the features needed for any athlete, beginner or expert. Stretching areas, loads of free weights, and spaces in between for rest and water. It was easy to tell right away that all the members loved being a part of the Life Time community. Just off the open space were also specialized rooms. A state of the art Pilates studio (fantastic trainer included) had us all drooling. Two large climate controlled rooms for fitness classes ranging from hot yoga, Evolution Cycle, T.R.X, Kickboxing and tons of other class offerings. The team running the fitness classes was an AMAZING bunch of instructors and planners who really think about all of their participants and athletes when design programming to fit everyone’s forte’. After 3 solid workouts, attendees were guided down to the the Life Time LifeCafe where we were treated to a healthy selection of tasty bites and yet another group of friendly staff members who manage the meal planning and offerings for Life Time’s kitchens. Oh, and did we mention the goody bags? Yeah, all attendees were given high quality insulated water bottles, gym bags, scarves (to keep that sweat out of your eyes) and JayBird Fitness trackers to boot. To say Life Time brought the goods would be an understatement. All attendees had a fantastic time and were blown away (and surprised in many cases) to see what the Life Time experience has to offer.
Continuing into the next days of the conference, Life Time came back in with a group fitness class on Saturday morning. Morning workouts are not always easy at a conference but we had a lot of reasons to join. Not only were the instructors phenomenal but all of us were treated to Gaiam yoga mats and SPRI fitness accessories including bands and balance pods. Life Time also brought in some male support to keep our butts moving and show attendees new workout techniques. It was the hardest workout of the weekend but the music, trainers and gear made every drop of sweat worth it.
As we head into planning another year of fitness, a huge thank you to Life Time for not only being a sponsor of FitBloggin & FitSocial but for opening our eyes to what a high quality health club experience should be (without breaking the bank). If you are looking to get inspired, find a fitness facility that meets YOUR needs and probably make a lot of new friends, please see if there is a Life Time near you…you won’t regret it.
